JUSTICE GUARDIANS

Justice Guardians is dedicated to shining a light on Southwest Florida's judicial elections — races that often get less attention than they deserve, despite shaping how justice is administered in our community for years to come.

Judicial candidates that are appointed are selected through a process most voters never see: closed-door deliberations, secret ballots among small nominating panels (six to nine local lawyers and not all show up), with appointments made behind the scenes. The Governor does not actually “interview” candidates, himself.  We believe voters deserve to know how their judges got there, what their courtroom experience actually looks like, and what the public record shows — not just campaign talking points.

No candidate for office controls, directs, or is affiliated with Justice Guardians. We are an independent committee, and the views expressed on this site are our own.

Our mission is simple: give Southwest Florida voters the facts they need — trial experience, case records, bar disclosures, and the judicial selection process itself — so they can make informed decisions on August 18, 2026.
